(Canada).- Amaya Gaming revealed a near 300 % increase in overall revenues to us$ 36.8 million for the final three-months of 2012. The firm said that its 2012 Q4's adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation hit us$ 16.6 million, representing a rise of 391% year-on-year, although its net earnings dropped from a profit of us$ 2.85 million to a deficit of us$ 705,685.

For 2012 as a whole, the Canadian firm stated that overall revenues improved by nearly 316% year-on-year, to us$ 75.8 million while adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation reached us$ 22.9 million. However, Amaya Gaming posted an overall loss for 2012 of us$ 7 million. “The past year has been transformational for Amaya,” said David Baazov, President and CEO for Amaya Gaming.

“We expanded dramatically in Europe by increasing the licensee base of our subsidiaries Chartwell and Cryptologic, which we had acquired in 2011 and April respectively. Cryptologic went from a net loss in the first half of 2012 to a significant contributor of income for Amaya Gaming by the end of 2012,” Baazov added.

“In the fourth quarter, we rounded out our offering of gaming solutions with the acquisitions of gaming machine supplier Cadillac Jack, which gives us an important presence in the United States, and business-to-business poker network provider Ongame. We now have the technology to address the growing trend toward convergence in our industry with operators increasingly looking to offer physical, virtual and mobile gaming products and experiences to their customers”, he assured.

“Looking ahead, we are focused on extending our footprint including through strategic partnerships in the United States where the regulation of online gaming continues to evolve. Three states including New Jersey and Nevada have recently legalised online gaming and other states have tabled legislation that would do the same.”

Additionally, he said that the firm expects to realise synergies from the acquisitions of Ongame and Cadillac Jack, as it did with Cryptologic including growing their respective customer bases in various jurisdictions.
