The beautiful state of the art environment paired with international experts discussing ultra-modern gaming techniques made for a perfect union.
Casino managers and suppliers from Germany, Italy, Spain and many other countries not only made use of the Slot Summit to discuss the latest challenges facing the international casino industry, but likewise inspired optimism about how to turn these challenges into opportunities. Modern communication tools such as Social Media were integral parts of this summit’s schedule alongside game formats and innovative ways of designing gaming areas.
Leading slot manufacturers gave exciting previews of their novel products and the makers of specialty equipment presented their next-generation casino solutions.
Both participants and organisers were delighted with the diverse attractions of the newly renovated Casino Hohensyburg. Lucien Wijsman, the Slot Summit organiser, was impressed by the trend-setting mix of games and events, stating, “WestSpiel has set measures to create a unique entertainment concept at Hohensyburg. The games, entertainment and culinary offers are perfectly combined here and so offer visitors this unique blend of entertainment”.
Ron Goudsmit, chairman of ECA, was delighted by the number of participants at the Slot Summit as well as the mood of the crowd. During the ECA hosted dinner on April 24, Goudsmit marvelled, “it is great to see so many representatives of the gaming industry coming together to share their tireless innovations and ideas for the future of the industry. The mood is excited and optimistic, which is motivating for everyone involved. The discussions, here at dinner, are friendly and enthusiastic. Participants seem to be enjoying the time to get to know each other in such a positive setting.”
Franz Hirthammer, Casino Hohensyburg Managing Director, mused during an interview at the event about how the casino industry has greatly changed in past years. “We compete with many leisure activities. These are not just cinemas, theatres or concert halls but also the increasing number of street arcades as well as the growing and predominantly illegal internet gaming offers”. With such events as the Slot Summit, the aim is to excite members of the gaming industry over and over again, making the trip to any casino an unforgettable experience. “Our colleagues at the Slot Summit have truly encouraged us”, says Hirthammer. “We are making optimal inroads”.
