Enjoy close to take possession of Conrad Punta del Este

(Chile).- Enjoy General Manager, Javier Martínez, expressed the "anxiety" that the firm has in order to take possession of Conrad Punta del Este, which was planned for March. "All the documents are ready. We expect to have this issue solved in the near future (…) in order to to take possession of the Conrad," were the words of the executive during the annual meeting of shareholders.

According to Martínez, already have the approval of the technical entities and just expect the firm of the Minister of Economy and the President José Mujica. Besides, they are already working on the remodellation of the exhibition ground, so this delay did not modify the project “at all”, affirmed the manager. 

Besides, he detailed that Conrad acquisition “enables the firm to grow a 50% in net income. That’s why take control is essential and one of the goals set for this year is to integate the chain and make profitable Enjoy Punta del Este.

Another goal for 2013 is to maximize the value of the company, the operational efficiency and become the biggest company in Latin America and within the largest 10 worldwide.

Other markets

With regard to the chance to install the gaming business in another country, the Manager pointed that "there are interesting markets, such as Peru and Colombia, but today we have big challenges such as Conrad, which I think will have us entertained for a long time.”

However, he specified that in Colombia "we will keep on working, we continue analyzing, but things have to be taken calmly, because it has to do with a change in regulation, or to develop an adequate project to the current norm. We are analyzing both options,” he affirmed.
