(Macau).- Wells Fargo and Sterne Agee analysts have different estimates for April’s full-month gross gaming revenue. While Wells Fargo senior analyst Cameron McKnight forecasts growth will be between 13 and 15 % year-on-year, Sterne Agee’s David Bain says it will be around just 8%.

In a note issued Tuesday, McKnight wrote that average daily revenue through April 21, including slots, was around us$ 120.5 million, up by 16 % year-on-year.

Bain is less bullish and wrote Tuesday that there has been a slowdown in growth in recent days, likely related to the upcoming May 1 Golden Week holiday period, in which many workers in the mainland get one week off, some of whom come to Macau to gamble.
