(US).- Unity Technologies, provider of the Unity multi-platform engine and development tools, announced a multi-year strategic partnership with Bally Technologies. “By combining the power of the Unity engine with the breadth and depth of Bally Technologies' offerings, Bally will be able to build the most innovative electronic gaming offerings on the market,” said sources of both firms.

Unity, used by slot manufacturers and online gambling companies around the world to create exciting and compelling interactive gambling content, is one of the most widely adopted middleware solutions for development in the gambling industry, said sources of the firm. The Unity developer community is more than 1.5 million developers strong and includes thousands of game studios across the world, both large and small. “Unity is an excellent solution for gambling companies (land-based, online & mobile) looking to work with development houses already familiar with the powerful, deep, and efficient development tools,” added the company.

"Bally Technologies is committed to innovation and delivering the world's most popular and cutting-edge games," said Derik Mooberry, Senior Vice President of Games, Bally Technologies. "We look forward to working closely with Unity Technologies and using the Unity solutions to help continue our innovation and development of highly entertaining game content for casino operators and players."

Unity is known for its efficient design, enabling wild creativity while keeping development cycles and costs down. In-editor play testing allows for lightning fast iteration and the excellent art pipeline enables art assets to be saved from any popular art tool (Photoshop, Maya, Modo, and more) in order to effect change to every instance of that asset across the project automatically.

Game Developers Conference attendees can visit Unity Technologies in South Hall of the Moscone Center number 1002 for a demonstration of the Unity development platform. Bally Technologies will on hand in the Career Pavilion at booth number CP2334.
