(Belgium).- The Belgian Gaming Commission has added another five online gambling companies to its blacklist of ‘illegal’ websites that Belgian ISPs are supposed to block. Two UK online poker company sites belonging to PKR are among those banned – PKR.com and its online casino equivalent PKRcasino.com.

The Nordic Leisure subsidiary Redbet.com has also been blacklisted, along with GoldenCherry.com and Klavercasino.com. The latest additions bring the total number of blacklisted operations in Belgium to 69, depriving Belgian punters of top internet gambling action at sites like bet365, 888 and William Hill.

In Belgium, online gambling licenses are restricted to existing land-based operators and their partners, an anti-competitive and discriminatory system which has attracted criticism from the European Commission – thus far disregarded by the Belgians.
