Intralot Italia supports “Walk of Life”

With its support, Intralot Italia aims to reward the Telethon Foundation significant progress in its research endeavours last year and to promote the Foundation’s cause. “Walk of Life” is one of the top opportunities to support the advancement of scientific research in the fight against genetic diseases. 

Intralot Italia will support the “Walk of Life” initiative through its retail network. During the six events of the tour, all players will have the opportunity to either make a direct donation to Telethon or donate €2 in case of winning at all the Intralot Italia PoS that participate in the initiative.  Moreover, in case a player decides to participate in one of the six marathons the value of €2 will be reduced from the entrance fee. Participation in the mini marathons is open to all with a symbolic donation of €10 for adults and €5 for kids.

The first “Walk of Life” event will take place in Rome on April 21st , and each event includes a competitive 10 km mini-marathon and a non-competitive 3-5 km walk. The other mini-marathons will take place in Catania (May 19th), Naples (May 26th), Parma (June 2nd), Milan and Turin (September 29th).

The Telethon Institute of Genetics and Medicine (TIGEM) was founded in 1994 by the Telethon Foundation, one of Italy’s major non-profit organizations, to promote the advancement of research aimed at the diagnosis, prevention and cure of human genetic diseases.
