(US).- The Annual Global iGaming Summit & Expo (GiGse) has named WorldPay, a leading provider of payment and risk management services, as the Lead Payments Sponsor for GiGse 2013, which takes place on April, 23-25, 2013 in San Francisco, California.

Paul Barclay, Vice President of Gambling, WorldPay, commented: “The ability to offer large numbers of players around the world access to their sites via the most widely recognised local payment methods is vital for success for gaming merchants. Creating a seamless checkout experience will not only attract more people to the site on a regular basis but also increase the chance of them making repeat transactions, helping to increase conversions. This is where WorldPay steps in and is different to other payment service providers in the market, as it offers a complete end-to-end service from acquiring, processing, alternative payments, risk management and treasury management."

"It is a great opportunity to be the lead payments sponsor of an event such as GiGse, which is accredited as the event for the Internet gaming industry. As the largest global acquirer for the gambling and gaming industry, there is a great opportunity for us to reach merchants in this industry and showcase how we can maximise their transaction acceptance.”

The 13th Global iGaming Summit & Expo will take place on April 24-26, 2012 at The Westin San Francisco Market Street, San Francisco, California. The event program will cover areas including multi-state compacts, pooled liquidity, social gaming, player loyalty across land-based and online channels and mobile gaming or gaming policy. With the convergence of social gaming and gambling being one of the most debated, and anticipated, trends in the industry, GiGse 2013 will be co-located with the newly launched Social Casino Summit that will attract social gaming developers with interest in opportunities offered by the pure virtual currency, ‘fremium’ model and by the partnerships and convergence with real-money gaming.
