“I like using words as an example, and for FADJA 2013 I choose productivity,” assured Aguirre when beginning to analyze the recent FADJA edition, held last week in Bogota, Colombia. “This edition left us a very productive event for the local industry, which requires to be on the technological forefront before all the legislative changes that have taken place recently, and those to come.”
“We have seen the best edition in FADJA, for two key reasons: the first one is to use this great pavilion, a space created to host an event of this kind that have left exhibitors very satisfied. And in second place, we have achieved something historical, and it is to gather all the members of other gaming sectors, beyond casinos. We have had representatives of localized gaming, lotteries and chances, among others; which has permitted us to make up an integral offer and gather, under the same roof, all the important regional gaming actors in FADJA 2013”.
When remarking the advantages, Aguirre assures: “This year we have had a great display by exhibitors, with a lot of investment in FADJA, and I think it is mainly due to the market situation, which is having a dynamics that is very satisfying for us. And this year it coincided with the arrival of the show to this new pavilion, which finally offered an elegant, tidy and productive frame, which was very well presented to the public that has visited us.”
FADJA organizers boosted, at the end of the first day, an event in which they highlighted the importance of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) policies in the sector. Aguirre commented, when asked about the matter: “We have realized that operators and manufacturers want to socialize after the conclusion of an event, and we will bet on that socialization, but not only to generate parties and entertainment, but also with the programs we want to promote. In this case we present one, destinated to boost Corporate Social Responsibility in the sector”.
Nowadays, the focus will leave the attention from the Colomvian market for a while, to concentrate in Peru, the next date for the gaming sector. “In Peru we want to give the same format of the event we live year after year in FADJA, respecting the same vision, although maybe with less display, because the space available there is smaller in our case. But we will continue stressing on the importance of the event and the congress in Lima, together with CSR actions undertaken here in Colombia”.
“Los empresarios de apuestas permanentes de Colombia are expanding their horizons and incorporating other markets, so they are now doing businesses in Peru. In the case of Lima, we are going to add to FADJA offer a Business Round for businessmen of the betting sector, which will talk about possible changes in legislation, which we estimate will open the sportsbooks markets, online betting, permanent bets and innovative games... We see that the Colombian and Peruvian industries not only have to do with casinos and bingos, but also have new type of businesses and we will bring space to this phenomenon from FADJA organization in both countries”, assured Aguirre at the end of the interview.
