GLI’s provides project management expertise to Oregon Lottery

GLI has been engaged to deliver leading edge program and project management services in compliance with the Project Management Institute (PMI)’s body of knowledge and Oregon State Lottery’s project management practices. GLI was awarded all five service areas of the Oregon State Lottery RFP to help ensure the successful delivery of some of the Lottery’s most critical strategic initiatives to date.

Working closely with the Lottery’s IT Governance Manager and its Chief Information Officer (CIO), as well as other Lottery staff and vendors, GLI will assist with key efforts including tactical replacement of more than 12,000 video lottery terminals and the central system vital to planned business operations.

GLI has been working with the Oregon State Lottery since 1992, and this new project signifies a further deepening of the working relationship.

Oregon State Lottery’s CIO Syed Hussain said: “We have engaged GLI to manage this significant and challenging program. This initiative represents a program with considerable capital and operational investments. Additionally, this program has the added dimension of multiple vendors serving a technically complex environment. GLI’s program management skill and process improvement abilities, allows them to perform at a senior program level to coordinate multiple sub project streams. This role also requires above average meeting facilitation skills and technical savvy. In our experience, GLI has delivered when it comes to such requirements.”

GLI’s Global Professional Services division offers a wide range of Program and Project Management services to Lotteries, from project health-check and recovery analysis, to the outsourcing of seasoned Program and Project Managers.
