The next G2E Online webinar is scheduled for Thursday, March 28, from 2-3 p.m. EDT and will offer a comprehensive overview of the status of online gambling in Nevada and New Jersey. Frank J. Fahrenkopf, Jr., president and CEO of the American Gaming Association, will open the session.
Mark Lipparelli, former chairman of the Nevada State Gaming Control Board, and Frank Catania, senior partner in the New Jersey law firm of Catania & Ehrlich, P.C. and president and principal at Catania Gaming Consultants, will speak about how the online gaming industry will develop and evolve in these two states. Will the actions of the states spur federal action? When will the games go live, and what are the prospects for success? Which states could follow and what are the chances of interstate compacts being negotiated? Moderated by Andrew Zarnett, managing director of Deutsche Bank Securities, the session will answer these questions and more.
"For years, we have said it's not a matter of if, but when, online gambling becomes legalized and mainstream-and now that future is here," said Fahrenkopf. "Within a week of each other, Nevada and New Jersey legalized online gaming and began to work on the rules and regulations in their respective states. This upcoming G2E Online session, as well as the other webinars in the series, will offer key perspectives and practical tips regarding the critical issues impacting the online gaming market."
