(Australia).- A top UK-based betting operator has made a “substantial offer” to buy Tomwaterhouse.com, Australian largest individual bookmaker according to news reports in the country.

(Australia).- A top UK-based betting operator has made a “substantial offer” to buy Tomwaterhouse.com, Australian largest individual bookmaker according to news reports in the country.

The offer from the unnamed bookmaker is thought to have been around us$ 133.3 million, although a spokesperson for Waterhouse issued a firm 'no comment' when asked about the speculation. "We get at least one call a week about this (takeover bids)," the spokesman added.

The betting firm, established in 2010, is estimated to have betting turnover of more than us$ 133.3 million a year and holds a dual bookmaker's licence in Victoria and Northern Territory.
