CTBA Vice Chair to participate in upcoming events

(US).- Leslie Lohse, Vice Chair of the California Tribal Business Alliance, will provide her insight and expertise on Indian gaming and economic development at four upcoming events: Indian Gaming Tradeshow and Convention, GiGSE, Online Gaming Conference and 7th Annual National Native American Economic Development Conference.

•  Indian Gaming Tradeshow and Convention hosted by National Indian Gaming Association, Phoenix, AZ: On Tuesday, March 26 at 3 p.m. Lohse will speak on the panel “The Proliferation of Internet Sweepstakes Cafes.” Event takes place at the Phoenix Convention Center. More info www.indiangaming.org

•  GiGSE, San Francisco, California: On Thursday, April 25 at 9:35 a.m. Lohse will be part of the California Breakfast Discussion Group. Takes place at the Westin San Francisco Market Street. More info at www.gigse.com

Online Gaming Conference, Sacramento, California: On Tuesday, May 7, from noon to 1 p.m., Lohse will participate in an Online Gaming Conference, sponsored by Capitol Weekly. Takes place at the California Chamber of Commerce, Esquire Bldg., 1215 K Street. More info at www.calchamber.com

•  7th Annual National Native American Economic Development Conference, Las Vegas, Nevada: On Monday, May 20 at 9:45 a.m. Lohse will participate in the Tribal Leaders Roundtable: Seeking Freedom of Economic Sovereignty. Takes place at the Cosmopolitan Hotel. More info at www.nativenationevents.org

CTBA Vice-Chairwoman Leslie Lohse has served as Tribal Council Treasurer of the Paskenta Band of Nomlaki Indians of California since 1998. She helped in the Paskenta Band's purchase of over 2,000 acres in Tehama County, the tribe's aboriginal territory. She was instrumental in getting this land federal government trust status and then completing the construction of a 70,000 square-foot casino that includes three restaurants. Her tribe has successfully negotiated leasing transactions with private investors that have brought two new hotels and a private hunting club to the tribal lands.
