(US).- Caesars Entertainment Corporation's CEO Gary Loveman told investors that the company would be launching a new real-money online poker offering using its Nevada licence and software from 888 Holdings.

Loveman added though that it is very likely that the new online poker enterprise would be moved onto a platform developed by French firm Barriere des Jeux after launch.

“We have the rights to use [888] software and introduce it, for example, in Nevada under what we consider to be quite reasonable terms,” said Loveman. “I would expect that when we go live in Nevada you will see us on the 888 platform. “We also, as you recall, acquired the right to use and to customise the software platform of Barriere Digital from France. We think that [this] is a state-of-the-art platform [and] we have developers working on its modifications to suit the World Series of Poker as we speak. So at some point, when the modification is complete, we’d anticipate that we might migrate off the 888 platform onto the Barriere platform in due time.”
