"Officials from the Interior Ministry's Main Economic Security Department carried out a set of operations eliminating 36 illegal gambling clubs in Moscow and in the cities of Pushkino, Shchyolkovo, Korolyov, Podolsk, Khimki, Balashikha, Reutov, Mozhaisk, Noginsk and Ivanteyevka," the press center told Interfax on Monday.
"The police seized over 440 gambling machines, seven poker tables, 26 gambling machines accepting bills, and over us$ 32,891, the source said. The criminals' revenues are estimated at over us$ 3.2 million, the source added.
"In addition, operatives from the Main Economic Security Department with support from the Rys unit have closed a casino located in an old mansion in central Moscow," the source said. "The materials that have been collected have been sent to the investigators, who will make a decision on them," the police affirmed.
