Leighton confirms construction of Wynn Cotai project

(Macau).- Leighton Holdings has confirmed that it has agreed to the first component of works on the new Wynn Macau project in Cotai. The contract value is us$ 231 million, Bloomberg reports today. This will be the largest project ever undertaken by Leighton Asia.
A subsidiary of Australian-based Leighton Holdings, Leighton Asia has been chosen by Wynn Macau as the preferred company to design and build its maiden property in Cotai. Among the Macau projects in which Leighton has been involved are Wynn Macau, Wynn Encore, Macau Fisherman’s Wharf and City of Dreams.
In the meantime, Wynn Resorts, parent company of Wynn Macau, announced today that it will release the company’s financial results for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2012 on Thursday.
