GSA industry leaders funding the CVT project are Aristocrat Technologies, Bally Technologies, BMM Compliance, GLI, IGT, Spielo International and WMS Gaming.
GSA member company Radical Blue Gaming will begin development immediately of the tool, while working directly with GSA’s Certification Interoperability Committee (CIC).
Funding and development of the CVT is a serious industry-wide undertaking. The finished tool will be a critical element in guaranteeing device and system interoperability in land-based and online gaming spaces worldwide and across the industry spectrum.
GSA Board Chairman Adrian Marcu, IGT, said, “We are very pleased to have the CVT project fully funded, and we are grateful to our members who have come forward to financially back the CVT. When complete, the CVT will have a significant impact on increased gaming product interoperability. This major financial backing, combined with nearly universal manufacturer acceptance of the CVT, clearly shows the industry is serious about standards adoption and certification and GSA is pleased to be leading the way.”
In light of the upcoming ICE Totally Gaming tradeshow in London, GSA will extend the special reduced pricing for members to purchase the CVT through the end of February 2013.
