Under the terms of the agreement, Probability will supply its hosted mobile casino and slots games for the regulated Italian market under the “Vegas Club” brand owned by Lottomatica Italia Scommesse. The deal, which is non-exclusive for both parties, is initially for two years and renewable by mutual agreement.
The mobile gambling games will be hosted and maintained by Probability using the company’s software platform and regulatory infrastructure for Italy.
The games will be compatible with Apple, Android and recent Blackberry smartphones and tablets. Probability’s proprietary technology will be used to ensure continued compatibility with new devices entering the market.
Initially, the game titles on offer will come from the existing Probability portfolio and Probability will retain the full ownership of the intellectual property in these titles. There is an option for Lottomatica to commission exclusive new content from Probability during the agreement, a service which Probability has recently started offering its corporate clients.
The gaming engine will be Probability’s although the gambling transactions will take place under Lottomatica’s Italian gambling licence. Customers using the new mobile service will be recruited and managed by Lottomatica.
Probability CEO Charles Cohen commented: “We are delighted to have the opportunity to work with Lottomatica in Italy as their mobile partner. Now that slots are permitted in Italy, all the major operators realise the need to establish their brands urgently with mobile customers and offer as wide a range of games as possible on the widest choice of devices.”
