(Italy). - On January 1st, regulations about gaming advertising (on/offline) came into force in Italy. The Agenzia delle Dogane e dei Monopoli (AAMS) gave instructions to the operators about on which messages to incorporate ads.

Besides the company logo and AAMS, the ads must show the operator license number, the consumer warning from 18 years, the addiction risk and the prizes payment.

The companies have complained about AAMS requirements, since many advertising media has no place for that information. This is a feature that must be overcome if they don’t want to pay fines of up to 500,000 euros.
