(US).- GTECH Corporation announced that it has signed a multi-year License and Representation Agreement with Caesars Interactive Entertainment ("CIE"), extending GTECH's exclusive rights to offer the World Series of Poker (WSOP) brand to the lottery industry for use with certain lottery games.

GTECH Corporation has maintained these exclusive rights since 2008, and through its subsidiary, GTECH Printing Corporation (GPC), offers the branded content to lottery customers in the United States, Canada, and Europe. CIE is a subsidiary of Caesars Entertainment Corporation, the world's largest gaming company.

Alan Eland, Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer of GTECH North America and GPC President, stated, "The performance and 'sell-through' of the WSOP instant tickets have been phenomenal, and the promotional opportunities that are available to support the brand drive its success even further. GPC has proven that our second-chance capabilities are best-in-class, and we have the resources and experience to provide our lottery customers with customized programs for the full support of WSOP games."

"GTECH and GPC have been a perfect fit," said Ty Stewart, World Series of Poker Executive Director. "They understand the lottery industry and have invested heavily behind the brand. They share our belief that, pun intended, we have only scratched the surface of what can be done with this license."

The World Series of Poker brand has been successful in the lottery industry over the past four years, and World Series of Poker instant tickets have been launched in multiple jurisdictions in the U.S., Canada, and Europe with successful promotional programs supporting the tickets.

The brand lends itself to many second-chance promotional opportunities, including trips to the World Series of Poker Main Event in Las Vegas, customized local tournaments, and merchandising programs. GPC has developed a variety of innovative ticket designs and play styles to support the brand. The designs and play styles were developed to attract new audiences while still appealing to core lottery players, providing a fresh new look to a classic lottery industry favorite.
