(Colombia, exclusive Yogonet.com).- In an interview granted this week, José Aníbal Aguirre, General Director of the organization that organizes FADJA in Colombia, made a balance of 2012, reviewed the main problems that the Andean Region faced this year and anticipated the highlights of the following edition of Bogota show.

When consulted about the balance of 2012 from FADJA organization, Aguirre pointed that “it has been an atypical year. The general uncertainty of the industry in Latin America make exhibitors act carefully. However, Colombia has become a focus of optimism, which allowed us to organize a very good event”, considering the growing expectations with the creation of a new governing body in the country, such as COLJUEGOS, whose public presentation was given, coincidentially, with our trade show”.

“We make a strict monitoring of the marketing plan for each edition, offering incentives to our traditional and new customers so they are encouraged to book early and take advantage of its exhibition,” added Aguirre when talking about the main challenges of 2012, and pointed: “We have a problem that caused discomfort among several exhibitors due to the height of the pavilion in which it was held FADJA 2012, because it was much less than the places in which they are accustomed (7 metres at máximum height for the decoration), limiting its possibilities of montaje and display of design in their stands. Fortunately, the discontented understood that the issue exceeded us and the final balance was satisfaction and cordiality”.

When asked about the way in which some European countries are living the crisis, and the current situation of several Latin American markets, and how this affects the presence of international operators in FADJA, Aguirre assured: “Colombia is in a privileged geographical and poliyical position in the American continent, being a very important center of atraction and hope in this sector; because the situation of Venezuela and Ecuador in particular, with the total ban of casinos and gambling venues, leave us as survivors in the Western corner of Argentina, Chile and Uruguay”.

“The trade events enable to do something that advertising cannot do: touch the products, have price options, quality and service according to the customer needs, interrógate and solve doubts with the manufacturer or distributor, get to know and acquire first hand the latest novelties and technological developments, everything in one place, is offered by the Andean Games of Chance Event, and so manufacturers, distributors and operators from the whole continent must understand and take advantage of it”, he commented.

With regard to next year, he assured that several themes will be highlighted: “In first place, the return to Gran Salón de Corferias with 10,000 sqm, for an event with a great format, confort and elegance. Secondly, the academic component of FADJA 2013 will be in charge of analysts and experts of the industry. Thanks to the agreement achieved with Revista Casino, Turismo y Entretenimiento and with Educativa Perú, associated to the trade unions Feceazar, Fecoljuegos, Acoja and Camazar guarantee high level conferences and issues of top interest for gaming operators in Colombia, also with the support of Coljuegos. As special guest, Slot Summit of the European Casino Association, will release the details of the summit, that will be held for the first time in Colombia next June, as a launching platform of its training project in Latin America.  Finally it will have fun, with exclusive events that will be announced soon. “FADJA 2013 will be fantastic,” stressed the organizer of the event at the end of the interview.
