(Iceland, exclusive Yogonet.com).- “In 2012 we are glad to see that the mobile sales channel has become one of the most desired solutions for gaming operators and a key novelty on the market,” affirmed Ingvar Hjalmarsson, Betware’s Chief Commercial Officer. He commented the performance of the firm and gave his opinion on the different gaming markets and the plans for 2013.

What is the evaluation of this year?
The year 2012 has been very busy and positive for Betware. We have successfully launched a few new customers on the Spanish market enabling them to bring their offline brands into the online gaming scene. We are satisfied watching their progress and the growth of their online sales and proud to see our solution proving its strength once again. Our dedicated development teams were working hard making sure that the performance of our solution is impeccable and Betware’s Gaming Platform remains competitive on the market. Betware’s success is measured through our customers’ success and we are very satisfied with the year 2012.

What were the main challenges that you had to face within your major markets?
Not only has the year 2012 been successful for Betware but launching multiple new clients at the same time was definitely not done without challenges. It was crucial for us to ensure that deadlines given were met so the business strategy of our clients was not hampered due to delays. Our organisation is well built to support outstanding project management and exactitude of projects’ delivery. The dedication of our experienced team made it possible to bring all customers online within the desired time limits and support their successful start with this new sales channel.

What was the most innovative product or service launched this year by your company?
The gaming market is one of the fastest changing businesses and any company wishing to keep its market share must constantly search for innovation. Betware has over 16 years of market experience and through these years we have always put innovation as one of the major priorities in our business strategy.

In 2012 we are glad to see that the mobile sales channel has become one of the most desired solutions for gaming operators and a key novelty on the market. With the widespread of mobile penetration across the world this sales channel is one that no operator can afford to miss. Not only guarantees it additional revenue streams but it complements other sales channels, creating a perfect mix so valued by the player. Its absolute accessibility is something that players are searching for today. Betware introduced in the year 2012 a complete mobile solution for lotteries and gaming operators, creating new business opportunities for our customers that wish to take advantage of this new channel. A successful launch with Danske Spil, the Danish national lottery shows that players are quick to grasp the benefits of this new channel. They can now enjoy their favorite games whenever and wherever they want via the mobile channel.

In your opinion, what is the country with the highest growth potential for next year and why?
Liberalisation is the key word spreading across the gaming markets these days and Spain with its new regulations is one of the key examples. This trend is something that will strongly influence our business in 2013 and the countries which will decide to open its gaming market will likely experience growth. We are looking closely at the Latin and South American markets where we expect new business opportunities in specific areas. We expect the liberalisation trend to influence not only the lotteries but also land based casino operators.

What are your company's plans for 2013?
Betware’s main objective is to be dedicated and fully committed to supporting its customers and their growth. We will definitely put a lot of effort into backing our newly launched Spanish customers to ensure their growing market position and player retention. We will continue to promote the use of multisourcing IT strategy in online gaming to applicable areas in Europe and Latin America. We strongly feel that this is the most sustainable business strategy in regulated markets as it gives operators the opportunity to pick and choose best of breed gaming content from multiple suppliers. We will build on our experience and  success in Spain offering our solution to gaming operators which are making their steps towards the online market. The liberalisation of gaming markets in Europe has broadened Betware’s target group from being mainly lotteries to all gaming operators including land based casinos seeking a gaming licence in their jurisdiction and we will continue that focus in 2013.  At the same time our R&D teams will continue working on new improvements to ensure our products and our customers remain the most innovative on the market.

How do you picture the gaming industry in 2013? Will it be similar to this year? Will there be a growth or slowdown?
We definitely see the year 2013 as one offering a lot of opportunities and business potential. In areas which decide to introduce new regulations, opening up their gaming markets, we expect exciting growth and progress. Additionally the growing share of the mobile sales channel will add on to the scale of markets’ development. The year will likely show some innovative uses of the mobile channels because we have only begun to venture down that exciting road.
