What is the evaluation of this year?
Year 2012 was very successful for us at Interblock, especially in terms of strategic development. Our breakthrough with presentation of Hologram Gaming Lounge at G2E Las Vegas show, together with some high profile installations over the year and entering new markets was outstanding. With one word, it was a year of new beginnings, which has left a strong impact on our company.
What were the main challenges that you had to face within your major markets?
Economy is still under the influence of global recession and therefore the need for upgrading the casino floors are a bit lower. But casino operators are aware of the importance of providing a higher level of service for the players and therefore new investment within the casino floor and its equipment are still present, in order to maintain operational efficiencies and stability.
In your opinion, what was the most outstanding novelty (positively or negatively)?
Some of our markets have been downsizing their operations, but Interblock found its way out by entering new markets and more importantly by investing in development soon enough, which turned out as the best possible decision.
What was the most innovative product or service launched this year by your company?
It was definitely the Interblock Hologram Gaming Lounge, which is set to be the future of gaming entertainment. Built together in partnership with UK based Musion Systems, the exclusive master global licenser of Musion Eyeliner, Interblock has the honor of holding the exclusive agreement for gaming holographic technology. The technology behind the holographic projection effect creates the illusion of life-size, high definition, 3D moving images on stage. All of the images used on the system are three-dimensional, but projected as two-dimensional images into a 3D stage set. We are the first in the industry to offer this kind of projection and we are very proud of this achievement.
In your opinion, what is the country with the highest growth potential for next year and why?
It would not really be fair to highlight any of the markets in general, we can just speak for ourselves. Biggest challenge for Interblock is still continuing to develop a recurring revenue model throughout North America, which will bring long term stability to the business for which we do believe that still has a big potential in the future and of course to maintain our good business relationship with the existing markets.
What are the company's plans for 2013?
As always our plans are very ambitious. Interblock is announcing unveiling of enhanced multi-player platform, called G4D – DIAMOND at the International Gaming Expo – ICE 2013 in London. We believe that it again offers many improvements that will increase interest in our products and help us to move forward and expand to the markets, which have not yet been reached in the past.
How do you picture the gaming industry in 2013? Will it be similar to this year? Will there be a growth or a slowdown?
In my opinion gaming industry has already started picking up in the last few months, at least some of them. Optimistically said, 2013 is definitely a year for new stories to be written and we modestly believe Interblock will start writing them at ICE 2013 London show.
