Collins will be based in Baton Rouge, but will provide public relations support to the four Pinnacle properties within Louisiana, which include Boomtown Casino and Hotel Bossier City, Boomtown Casino New Orleans, L’Auberge Casino Resort Lake Charles and L’Auberge Casino and Hotel Baton Rouge.
“Julie’s experience in tourism and familiarity with what drives tourism specifically in Louisiana will be a great asset to our team ,” Kerry Andersen, Corporate Director of Media Relations and Public Affairs of Pinnacle Entertainment, said. “She has a great skill set and is a passionate brand advocate and we are especially pleased to have her join our team at a time when so many exciting things are happening at our Louisiana properties.”
Collins most recently served as Account Assistant for the Graham Group in Lafayette, where she was responsible for direct print production for over 20 clients. She also developed social media plans and coordinated creative direction of advertising strategies. Before joining the Graham Group, Collins previously worked for Mid-City Redevelopment Alliance in Baton Rouge as an Event Coordinator and interned for the Acadiana Cane Cutters Baseball team and the Recreation and Park Commission for East Baton Rouge Parish (BREC). At both internships, she managed and created content for multiple social media accounts and designed press releases, newsletters and comprehensive programs.
Collins, a 2010 LSU graduate, received her Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication.
