“We are very pleased to have got the green light for our online slots games from our regulator so soon and together with the big leading operators of the sector,” said Francesco Postiglione, Managing Director of Neomobile Gaming. “We are convinced of the success of the online slots, as they have already been a great success in other markets including the UK. Worldwide, the online slots game make up around 70% of the total profits of online operators, and we are confident that the Italian market will prove to be the same.”
The Italian firm expects to have 80 slot games for PC-based users by end of December this year and 10 slot games on mobile devices by April 2013. Casino Planet already operates ten mobile slots games in HTML5 including blackjack, roulette, video poker, bingo and the popular Italian card game “sette e mezzo”.
The Italian online casino market is forecast to increase in size by two to four times from its current GGR rate (Gross Gaming Revenues) of 100 million euros per year, according to gaming industry consultants H2 Gambling Capital, due in part to the introduction of slots-based games.
The online slots are available on the Microgaming platform “Casino Miami” and include familiar brands and characters such as Hell Boy, Lara Croft and Hitman.
“Casino Planet is already one of the leading gaming brands in the Italian market thanks to the variety and high quality of its service on both web-based and mobile devices. The launch of its slots-based games will help to reinforce its position,” read a statement from Casino Planet.
