By early 2013, Spielo International expects to install approximately 1,375 prodiGi Vu terminals in Saskatchewan as part of WCLC’s network of approximately 4,000 VLTs. The VLT deployment comprises the provision of 13 games (including game refreshments). Earlier this autumn, WCLC also selected Spielo International to provide its Intelligen central system to support their VLT program.
“This is the 10th consecutive contract we’ve won in Canada in this current round of replacement VLT procurements, which speaks to the trust and continued recognition of our expertise by Canadian lottery operators,” said Victor Duarte, Spielo International Senior Vice President and COO. “We are delighted to continue supporting Saskatchewan’s VLT network: we’ve provided them with gaming cabinets for the past 10 years, and central system software for the previous 20 years.”
“We are looking forward to moving forward with the replacement of the aging VLT network,” said Western Canada Lottery Corporation (WCLC) Vice President of VLT Operations, Tyrone Wolfram. “Spielo International has been a long-time supplier of VLTs in Saskatchewan. We look forward to continuing to work together into the future.”
The award-winning prodiGi Vu is engineered specifically for the distributed market to be Game to System (G2S) interoperable, offering operators the flexibility and choice of open standard protocols. WCLC operates the VLT program on behalf of the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority.
