“This is a major coup for Coral,” read a statement from Coral. “ESPN’s coverage of European football is outstanding and we’re very excited to see the benefit of working with such a prestigious and worldwide brand.”
Coral stated that the agreement also extends online and will see banners and rich-media ads for Coral integrated into ESPN.co.uk and ESPNFC.com while a new Euro Goals With Coral section on ESPN.co.uk is to provide fans with video highlights from the European leagues.
“This agreement reflects how we can deliver value to top-flight advertisers, connecting them with loyal and passionate football fans across multiple screens,” said Jehan Shah, Advertising Sales Associate Director for ESPN Europe, Middle East and Africa. “Our multi-platform coverage of Europe’s top football leagues is a popular part of the ESPN offering to fans and brands.”
ESPN’s broadcasts of Bundesliga, Serie A, Eredivisie and Ligue 1 games form part of its coverage of a wide range of UK and European football, which also includes the Barclays Premier League, the FA Cup, UEFA Europa League and action from other domestic leagues from around the continent.
