How was SAGSE 2012 for Offsidegaming? What expectations did you have? Could you achieve them?
Well, the show was quieter this year compared to last year, however, SAGSE is always a good place to meet our partners from Peru, Argentina and other Latin American countries. From that perspective, it was very good. We hope next year it will be even better. We’ll see… So we can say that it was a 50/50. The expectations of meeting our partners and establishing new relationships were fine, but the concretion of new business was below our expectations.
What are Offsidegaming’s plans for next year?
Obviously, we have huge plans and we expect to have new partners. We believe Latin America is a good region to be. We don’t have a big presence here yet, so I think it is a very good time for us to position better. You’ll be seeing a lot more of Offsidegaming.
On top of Latin America, How was this year for the company?
Fantastic. We did the highest turnaround; the highest profit in the past months and from that perspective it was great. We really moved into the next level. We operate our own software, so in general it has been a fantastic year.
How do you think the industry will evolve in your market segment and in your core business?
Well, there are two sides of the issue. In terms of the core business, sportsbooks have been growing in the past years but legislation is changing in several European countries, and this is causing some confusión in the market. You don’t really know what’s gonna happen, so from that perspective, it is not fantastic but I think still there are other places; there is still room to go.
Which is the most mature market for Offsidegaming?
Eastern Europe. Europe in general is a good market. There are countries like Portugal and Bulgaria that are changing the legislation so we just need to wait and see what’s going on.
