(Argentina).- Merkur Gaming exhibited its full range of gaming solutions at SAGSE Argentina for the first time, last November 13-15, at the Costa Salguero Center in Buenos Aires. The three-day show was crowned by winning the prestigious “Strategy and Result to get into the LATAM Market”, award at the “Gran Gala del Juego” party (with well over 700 attendees from the industry) on the evening of the second day of the show.

As the international arm of the Gauselmann Group, Merkur Gaming has a parent company that has decades of experience and success in gaming. Furthermore, the firm has the financial strength to be able to develop the gaming products and solutions that players are looking for. The ‘made in Germany’ gives operators the peace of mind that quality and innovation are part and parcel of Merkur Gaming. All the gaming cabinets are manufactured in Germany within the Gauselmann Group.

The cabinet choice not only comprises of upright (Privilege) and slant (Evolution) versions. The Highflyer is unique in the market place as the second, upper monitor appears to be floating in the air. This enables players to focus better on one individual screen – either the lower screen or when leaning back then the upper screen. The clear view between the monitors opens up the gaming location more to the player, helping player to feel at ease and so wish to remain longer enjoying the entertainment of Merkur Gaming.

Merkur Gaming has an extensive games library with games for every player taste. Not only that, it understands how important local tastes and cultures are. The Cantinflas range of games (at present with Cantinflas and Cantinflas 777) reflect this. Cantinflas was a very popular Mexican actor and comedian – the ‘Charlie Chaplin of Latin America’. These games have proven to be hugely popular – the SAGSE Argentina was no exception to the feedback received as Merkur Gaming has become accustomed to receive in the previous five exhibitions in Latin America this year.

Merkur Gaming places great emphasis on solutions for the video-lottery terminal (VLT) and server-based gaming (SBG) market. Operators were very keen to learn more on how the firm can support them in this essential gaming sector. Merkur Gaming has already amassed a great deal of experience in this sector and is successfully operating its gaming VLT / SBG solutions around the world.

Merkur Gaming took the largest stand at the SAGSE Buenos Aires right on its exhibition premiere. A magician added to the high spirits on the stand and the daily raffle to win a luxury weekend at a hotel of a partner company proved equally popular. Besides, many operators placed orders for their requirements directly on the stand.

The Merkur Dispenser 100 banknote recycler was another example of the sheer innovation and proven track record that Merkur Gaming offers. Already more than 80,000 units of the Merkur Dispenser 100 have been produced as the combination of being able to pay out three separate banknote denominations with a capacity of up to 34 notes of each one provides an optimal solution in the market for banknote dispensing.
“What a difference a year can make”, astounded Thomas Niehenke, COO of the Gauselmann Group. “Merkur Gaming is becoming a household name amongst operators in Latin America. Winning this prestigious award at the SAGSE in Argentina underlines that we are on the right track. We wish to thank all the visitors to our stand. We were extremely busy all three days and we will continually strive to play a major role in the Latin American gaming market”.
