How was this year for Innovative Technology in Latin American?
2012 has been a very good year for Innovative Technology as a whole and Latin America is no exception. We have a number of customers in Mexico, Colombia and Chile and see Latin America as a definite growth market for us.
What challenges did you have to face in each major market within this region?
The main challenges within Latin America are the amount of legislation and the number of legislation changes that take place in each country, and the amount of gaming restrictions across Latin America. Local knowledge is vital to understand these challenges and this is where our Trading Partner network assists us greatly.
What are the main products of Innovative Technology available for Latin America?
Our key products in Latin America are the NV9 USB, BV100, BV20 and NV200. The NV9 USB is a versatile bank note validator with bezel and cashbox options to suit any application. Well established the NV9 USB has proven field reliability with available currency datasets for all of Latin America. The BV100 bill acceptor is ideal for vending application with integrated MBD and the BV20 is a compact, simple bill acceptor which retails for around the same price as a coin mech. The NV200 is a high volume high security bank note validator capable of storing up to 1000 notes.
What has been the performance of your products here during this year?
Over the last twelve months we have definitely increased our market share as more and more Latin American companies move to our products. This area is still very much a growth market for us and we will look to build on our successes in 2013.
How did you define your work with your Latin American distributors?
We have a number of key trading partners in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Mexico who are a great asset to us in Latin America, working with these Trading Partner we better assist customers with sales and technical support.
This 2012 you have decided not to exhibit in SAGSE Buenos Aires. Have you already decided the schedule of the Latin America shows where you are going to participate next year?
We are still firming up our 2013 exhibitions and considering where to exhibit and if we will co-exhibit with our Trading Partners.
What are your plans and objectives for 2013?
For 2013 we will look to continue to grow our existing market share and introduce our recycler range the SMART Hopper & SMART Payout to Latin America. The SMART Hopper is a state of the art true multi coin hopper & recycler which eliminates coin starvation and the need for multiple coin hoppers. The SMART Payout is an add on module for the NV200 which has unrivalled mixed denomination note recycling capabilities with up space to recycle up to 80 different notes.
