(Uruguay).- After three years of remodellation, Hotel Casino Carrasco will be called Sofitel Montevideo Casino Carrasco & Spa and will finally be inaugurated on December 15th.

(Uruguay).- After three years of remodellation, Hotel Casino Carrasco will be called Sofitel Montevideo Casino Carrasco & Spa and will finally be inaugurated on December 15th.
It is estimated that the investment was approximately us$ 70 million and will have the most modern casino in Montevideo. There will be 116 luxury rooms, 150 people in charge of the hotel and around 300 people focused on the casino itself.
The Interim Minister of Tourism, Antonio Carámbula, said that the aim is that the hotel is part of the “new” city as touristic and business place. Besides, he reminded that four-star hotels will be built in Durazno, Paysandú and Trinidad, while in Salto and Rivera there will also be built casino-hotels.
