(Argentina, exclusive Yogonet.com).- At 20th edition of SAGSE, held last week at Costa Salguero Exhibition Center, in Argentina, Konami presented its new casino management system: Synkros. Eduardo Aching, VP of International Sales at Konami Gaming, talked to Yogonet.com about these releases and about the current situation of the Latin American markets, among other issues.

What products did you present in SAGSE 2012?
For this SAGSE edition, we brought some new products, including our new slant cabinet, Podium Slant. Besides, we are launching Synkros to the Latin American market,  a management system for casinos which is the evolution of Konami KCMS (Konami Casino Management System).  We also have a series of new games we plan to launch in the following 3 to 6 months.

Are these products specifically designed for Latin America?
Yes, they are in the same line than the products we presented in the past; they have similar characteristics to the previous ones, which adapt well to the region. Our math model is mainly highlighted.

Have you complied with the expectations you had for SAGSE?
SAGSE is always a very important and interesting show for us. It is a great chance to meet with the customers face to face and thank them for the business we have done during the year.

Which was the feedback from the customers towards the new products?
The feedback was quite positive. The first and the second day we were veru busy, there was quite a lot of people. Most of our customers from Uruguay, Chile and Argentina were present, as well as some from Mexico and Panama.

How have you seen the Latin American market?
Despite the global crisis, I think businessmen are much more accustomed to handle business during the crisis, that’s why they continue investing on their casinos. Although this situation affect usa ll, I think we are pretty well.

And what about Argentina specifically?
Argentina is a bit more affected, not only due to the worldwide crisis but also because of its new importation rules: it was a hard blow for the industry.

How did Konami face the situation?
We have to adapt. We are importing machines and obtaining authorizations and going on.

What are your future plans?
We will continue launching new products. We will launch several titles, but probably for the second semester of 2013.
