How do you expect that Latin American operators will react facing Michael Jackson King of Pop, Skee-Ball and China River completely translated into Spanish?
We believe operators will be excited about these titles presented in Spanish. All three feature stunning graphics, amazing play mechanics, and two are well-known brands. SKEE-BALL, an arcade favorite, includes a bonus feature where players touch and slide to “bowl” the SKEE-BALL, winning “tickets” that enable them to “Pick a Prize” on the game that reveals credit awards. And the exhilaration around Michael Jackson King of Pop is electric. Casinos and players are eager to experience five of Michael Jackson’s hit songs: Bad, Beat It, Billie Jean, Dirty Diana, and Smooth Criminal, video clips, famous dance moves, and the U-Spin Platinum Record Bonus all delivering a true concert-like gaming experience.
What is your opinion about the current import barriers and exchange restrictions in Argentina? How do you think that this situation will evolve? How is the gaming industry affected?
While we cannot speak on behalf of the entire gaming industry, Bally Technologies has developed short and long- term solutions to comply with the current government requirements.
What can you tell us about the Settlement and License Agreement that you have entered into with IGT?
Bally Technologies and IGT have entered into a Settlement and License Agreement that will end our patent litigation case. As part of the settlement agreement, Bally will obtain a patent license to IGT’s bonusing portfolio under confidential terms and will dismiss its counterclaims with prejudice.
What are your objectives for next year?
Our goal is to continue growing the company by focusing on the needs of our customers. Bally will make investments in South American markets and keep expanding our large library of innovative games. Thanks to enhancements and a focus on game development and compliance procedures, we are able to offer Latin American operators premium titles almost simultaneously to their release in North America. We also see many South American operators looking at our systems solutions to better track, reward, and engage their patrons.
