(Greece).- Intralot participated at the 30th Athens Classic Marathon, the landmark sporting event that annually revives the ancient Greek ideals, supporting the efforts of Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières. Held on November 11th, Intralot Marathon Runners completed the 5 km race actively participating in an initiative that aims to raise awareness and spread the message of hope, solidarity and giving to those in need.

Intralot Group CEO, Constantinos Antonopoulos, who ran the classic Marathon race of 42 km for the 7th consecutive year, stated: “The Athens Classic Marathon is an event of global significance. This year we have decided to support the mission of Doctors without Borders. I’d like to congratulate Intralot employees who ran for this worthy cause.”

Through its CSR program “Intralot – We Care a Lot”, Intralot strives to achieve a greater sustainability at the local communities where it operates by supporting actions to advance education, public welfare, cultural heritage and the environment. Towards this goal, the firm supported Doctors without Borders’ participation in the Charity and Social Liability Program of the Athens Classic Marathon. This Program is addressed to Non-Governmental Organizations offering them the opportunity to participate in the Marathon as a means to disseminate their mission and projects near Greek and international runners and to raise funds for the realization of their goals.
