Interview to Giorgio Gennari Litta, CEO of Monografie

“SAGSE will have more than 120 international exhibitors and we expect 10,000 visitors”

A few days before the show, he anticipated that three “Golden Eagle” awards will be delivered, highlighted the companies that will participate as exhibitors and commented about the documentary “Everything you always wanted to know about games of chance,” shown this week in Buenos Aires.

How are you preparing for a new SAGSE edition?
SAGSE is the largest and main exhibition for the gaming sector in Latin America. Nowadays it has become the most important community. It is the meeting point par excellence. The annual event of the whole sector. Preparation takes more than 12 months of  planning and development. “It is an event that is constantly evolving and adapting to the current situation of the sector and the region. According to our schedule of activities, everything is on the right track and with a lot of expectations. The feedback we are having from the industry is highly positive and our marketing plan to attract more international oeprators is working. We have a lot of energy and expectation. Manufacturers that exhibit at our event will present their novelties for the region and it is attracting a lot of attention.

How is the industry responding to the change of days  (from Wednesday to Friday to Tuesday to Thursday)? Why have you decided to make this change?
This change has been very well received by the industry and the operators as well. It has to do with the fact that many visitors wish to use Friday to come back home with their families for the week-end, and on the other hand, we have many foreign visitors that use Friday to visit different tourist attractions in Buenos Aires o visit the rest of the country.

How many exhibitors have already booked their space? Which will be the most remarkable booths? What companies will exhibit for the first time?
This year we will count with more than 120 international exhibitors that will present their solutions for the gaming industry in general. On top of highlighting the comanies that debut in SAGSE, I want to remark that all the companies will showcase new products with the latest technology.

How many visitors do you expect to receive this year?
This year, we expect to receive around 10,000 visitors in the three-show event. SAGSE Buenos Aires is not just an exhibition, but also a tool in terms of communication. In Monografie, we have already published our event in more than 30 international graphic media edited in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Russian during the last year. We have sent and delivered in person more than 20,000 leaflets and around 22,000 invitations in exhibitions and courier in Latin America and around the world and sent more than 100,000 mails to our exclusive data base. The results are excellent.

What can you anticípate about the “Golden Eagle Award”?
We can antiiípate that in this new SAGSE edition three awards will be delivered to three personalities of the sector. The aim is to remark individual qualities, value the image of the candidates and their actions and achievements throughout their history in the sector up to date, boosting the public acknowledgement of the professinalism and those chequered histories of excellence. This award is dedicated to the Latin American gaming market, and candidates to the award can be executives from companies that develop their activity in the Latin American area; they can be individuals in the public or prívate sector, that have contributed in a significant way to the development of the sector and that develop their current activity at an international level. Transparency in their actions and professional ethics to be considered.

What does the  documentary released this week in Cinema Lorca, “Everything you always wanted to know about games of chance”, consist of?
This documentary could be made thanks to the professional effort of a whole work team and the support of the most important entities in the sector, both prívate and public. It talks about the prejudices and many of the answers that society always have regarding the industry, showing its positive aspects. There is a lot to be communicated and this is an essential tool to do it. Monografie, as the main promoter of this important documentary, invites in exclusive all the main actors of the sector to share this material, oriented to professionals of the sector and to the public in general.

What is the result of the corporate agreement reached with Copa Airlines?
