Macau’s gross gaming revenues total us$ 31.376 billion

(Macau).- Gross gaming and gambling revenues in Macau totalled us$ 31.376 billion from January to October, representing a year-on-year rise of 13.5 percent, the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (GICB) said.

(Macau).- Gross gaming and gambling revenues in Macau totalled us$ 31.376 billion from January to October, representing a year-on-year rise of 13.5 percent, the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (GICB) said.

The growth rate posted from January to October is the lowest for the year, and has been fallen every month since it totalled 34.8 percent in January.

In October, gamblers provided gross revenues of us$ 3.462 billion, the second-lowest rise since July, in which gross revenues grew by 1.5 percent.

At the end of September 2012 there were 35 casinos in Macau, 20 of which were owned by Sociedade de Jogos de Macau, six by Galaxy Casino, four by Venetian Macau, three by Melco Crown Jogos (Macau) and one each by Wynn Resorts and MGM Grand Paradise, which altogether had a total of 5,497 tables and 17,029 slot machines.
