(US, Exclusive Yogonet.com).- G&D, the German firm specialized in banknote printing and the supply of security paper and machines for banknote processing, was present at recent G2E event, where the company introduced high-performance banknote processing system. Jim Goodwin, Market Segment Director Casinos, talks about G&D participation and its main plans for the short term. “US market has been a key focus for over 14 years. However, we are also experiencing success in the other markets like Asia, Latin American and Europe”, he pointed.

How do you evaluate your participation at G2E?
G2E 2012 was a tremendous success for G&D and one of the most productive shows that we have seen in many years. The booth was constantly busy throughout the 3 days of the show and our latest generation products were extremely well received.

What are the main characteristics of the products that you have presented?
G&D was pleased to introduce the new BPS M5 high-performance banknote processing system to the casino market. The BPS M5 was specifically designed for use in casino count rooms that have a requirement to process large volumes of banknotes and TITO tickets quickly and accurately. Thanks to its modular design, the BPS M5 can be individually configured and adapted to meet each casino's requirements.

With processing speeds up to 33 banknotes per second, the BPS M5 is the most advanced system in its class worldwide. It can be set to process any currency intermixed with TITO tickets and other bar coded items. With the use of G&D's header card technology, the BPS M5 provides true continuous processing giving its users the highest throughput rates available in the industry.

A large feeder with the capacity of up to 4,000 banknotes and/or TITO tickets, fully automatic reloading and continuous item singling all ensure that banknotes and TITO tickets are fed uninterrupted to the sensor section where they are checked for authenticity.  An integrated dust vacuuming unit, which keeps the sensors and machine clean, ensures uniformly high inspection and sorting quality.

How did the visitors respond?
Traffic was brisk throughout the show and visitors were amazed and quite excited about the performance and capabilities of the solutions we were presenting.  They were also looking forward to other product announcements in the coming months.

What does the US market represent for your company?
The US Casino market has been a key focus at G&D for over 14 years and will continue to remain so into the future.  However, we are also experiencing success in the other key Gaming markets around the world, like Asia, Latin American and Europe.

What are your main plans for the short term?
G&D will continue to lead the market by bringing innovative high speed processing solutions to the casino industry while looking to grow our portfolio to meet the needs of our customers worldwide.
