Ortega has extensive experience leading cross-functional teams responsible for product development, manufacturing, sales and marketing. In addition to leading global customer service organizations, his experience includes new product introduction, multi-site operations management, spare parts logistics, and project management.
Most recently, Ortega served as director of global service for Pacific Biosciences, Inc. where he was responsible for training, logistics, and customer service for the Americas, EMEA, and Asia.
Ortega will report directly to Jack Schaffer, vice president of customer service at Konami Gaming, who explained, “Andy is a great addition to Konami’s customer service team. His diverse and extensive background managing global teams of field-based service engineers and proven ability to deliver high levels of customer service will further strengthen Konami as our games business continues to grow.”
Prior to his employment at Pacific Biosciences, Ortega held senior level management positions with Illumina and Nanogen. In addition to his private sector management experience, Ortega served in the United States Navy as a hospital corpsman and NCO. His education includes an MBA from Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business and Management.
