“US market is very important to Copag”

How do you evaluate your participation at G2E?
Our impression is that the show was excellent for Copag. We see that we have a stronger presence in the US market each year. Proof of this is that the products presented at the fair are increasingly recognized as synonymous of quality and as a reference in cards.

What are the main features of the products presented?
Our exclusive line for the U.S. market of 100% plastic cards was presented to all visitors. In addition to retail, we presented our casino cards, which are recognized by professional players as the best. A test of this event is that Copag is the official supplier to a dozen live PokerStars tournaments, one of the largest virtual sites for poker players.

How did the visitors respond?
It is always a pleasure to receive visitors at G2E booth, because it is a unique opportunity to talk, meet customer needs, know the impressions about our products, etc... It is also interesting to present products to visitors from countries that do not yet have our products, such as Australia and Curacao. In addition, everybody responded well to the products, praising them for the technical and aesthetics quality of each model.

What does the US market represent for the company?
The US market is very important for Copag. So important that, since 2002, we have an office in Miami exclusively for that market, our only international office. The consumer market in the United States is very large, which also offers us an interesting opportunity to do business and develop new strategies other than those implemented in Brazil. Then, it is an opportunity to reciprocal winnings, both to Copag and consumers, who have the opportunity to play with the same cards, used in large casinos and poker tournaments on PokerStars.

What are your plans for the near future?
We always want the continued growth of the US market-share. We have some projects that are being developed to offer better and more complete cards for our clients, which should be disclosed only in 2013. However, we have great news that will make the experience of playing with Copag cards into something unique.
