Construction of “Eurovegas” to start in December 2013
Speaking at a press conference with the President of the Community of Madrid, Ignacio Gonzalez, Adelson revealed that negotiations with banks are taking place but that details will not be released until the location for the complex is decided. The project will be a sister-site to the complex in Macao, China, he said.
Adelson added that he cannot allow pressure of any type because the project is highly complex. He said that information will be provided at the right time because he does not want to hurt the project.
The specific location has not been released, but currently the favourite location to build Eurovegas is in the city of Alcorcon in the region of Madrid, due to its capabilities, although Torrejón, Paracuellos and Valdecarros have been named as possible locations.
The number 2 of Sheldon Adelson, Michael Leven, pointed that funding has been secured for the first phase of the operation, and that it seems that this goal has been achieved.
