How do you evaluate your participation in G2E?
I feel this year’s show was one of our best shows in years, if not the best show we have ever had, and our G2E lineup this year clearly highlighted our efforts to once again lead the industry in both content and innovation. Our diversified portfolio showcased at this year’s show featured innovative games based on player-popular brands, new themes for proven performers, an expanded number of new math models, and two operating platforms and five cabinets, which demonstrate WMS' commitment to fulfill customer needs.
What are the main features of "The Game of Life" and other products presented?
At this year’s show, we unveiled numerous new and exciting platforms that are sure to engage players and deliver results on the casino floor. The WMS booth featured more than 100 unique themes, including THE GAME OF LIFE product, which introduces a new way of awarding base game wins with the Bank of LIFE Paytable, a unique play mechanic where any spin can increase awards that pay out on specific spin outcomes - a way to win additional awards on each spin.
Building on the success of the Aladdin & The Magic Quest game, we also debuted the second game to feature WMS’ Sensory Immersion 2.0 Motion Chair System with the SPIDER-MAN slots. These are dual-array games with five random “Spider-Sense” features and exciting bonus rounds featuring video and audio clips from the blockbuster film trilogy. Players get up to eight reel sets spinning at up to 50x in the Free Spins Bonus, or make the most of advanced CPU-NXT3 graphics and motion events perfectly aligned in an exciting bonus battle with the Green Goblin.
We were also excited to showcase our Gamefield xD cabinet—which we believe will be a game-changer. With two 32-inch high-definition screens powered by spectacular high-definition graphics and enhanced performance characteristics enabled by our CPU-NXT3 operating platform, this innovative cabinet for participation-only games grabs players’ attention and delivers new game play options to enhance the gaming entertainment experience. We showcased this platform with new, unique themes from our popular THE WIZARD OF OZ and MONOPOLY licensed brands.
Another key product for us at this year’s show was our Game Chest Multi-Game series, a series of multi-games powered by the CPU-NXT2 platform available on the Bluebird2e and Bluebird xD cabinets, and offered exclusively to our international markets. The Game Chest Multi-Game series supports multiple languages and currencies, and will be available in three unique game sets, each comprised of six to eight themes featuring a mixture of proven WMS content. The first game set to launch will feature six unique themes from the player-favorite G+ Deluxe and G+ Deluxe 5x4 series.
What was the visitor’s feedback?
Powered by our CPU-NXT2 and CPU-NXT3 platforms on five dynamic cabinet configurations, we debuted over 100 new and unique gaming experiences on over 200 machines at this year’s show, the most games we have ever brought to the show, and all of the visitor feedback we received was very positive! This year our focus was on the immediate needs of our customers, and we centered our booth around a robust and quality pipeline of must-have, near- term, high-performing gaming experiences. I believe that customers were encouraged by the breadth and depth of new product that we showcased, as well as the evolution of some of our Proven Performers.
How important is the US market to your company?
While we are first a global company, our corporate headquarters and manufacturing facilities are located in Waukegan, Illinois, making the US market, as well as all of our markets, important to our company’s growth.
What are your plans for the near future?
Coming out of the G2E show, our focus is on maintaining our position as industry leader in both content and innovation, by combining compelling and imaginative gaming experiences that players love with the high level of performance our customers demand.
The EiG show kicked off this week and highlights the latest product offering from Williams Interactive, which will play a large role in future plans as we enter into the online gaming market. And of course the ICE show is just around the corner where we will be positioned to showcase our full product content library, and new, unique player experiences for the global markets.
