“Gtech has worked in close partnership with the Arizona Lottery for nearly three decades,” said Gtech President and CEO Jaymin B. Patel. “Over that time, we have assisted the Arizona Lottery in growing revenues to benefit good causes, as well as expanding and optimizing the Lottery’s retailer base, and introducing self-service lottery vending and other enhanced technology. We look forward to our continued collaboration in the years to come.”
“Our valued partnership with Gtech has been a key foundation for the Arizona Lottery’s success in recent years,” said Arizona Lottery Executive Director Jeff Hatch-Miller. “Their technical and logistical support has enabled us to act more strategically, enhancing key products offerings, and better meeting player expectations. These strategic actions, coupled with day-to-day operational support, have contributed greatly to the Lottery’s record-breaking sales, essential to our mission of increasing critical funding for our beneficiaries, a variety of state programs that enrich the lives of Arizona residents.”
Under the extension, Gtech will continue providing the Arizona Lottery with the operation and maintenance of the central system and IP-communications network, as well as field services and hotline management for the Lottery’s 2,800 retailers. Additionally, the firm maintains a variety of lottery products in Arizona including retailer-activated Altura terminals; self-service online/instants Lottery to Go units; self-service instants-only Instant to Go units; self-service Ticket Scan ticket-checker units; and ES MultiMedia digital signage. Gtech operates from a primary data center in Phoenix, and a backup data center in Austin, Texas.
Instant-ticket warehousing and distribution services are provided to the Arizona Lottery by Gtech, while a portion of the instant-ticket printing is provided by Gtech Printing Corporation. Proceeds from the Arizona Lottery go toward education, health & public welfare, economic & business development, and the environment.
