How do you evaluate your participation at G2E?
This year’s G2E was one of the best ever, as we had busy, consistent traffic, positive yet critical feedback, and had the chance to talk directly with our customers, competitors and more. We never question the investment of participating in G2E. It truly is thrilling to welcome such a diverse and prestigious group of thought leaders who will candidly discuss the latest trends and issues impacting the gaming industry with us.
What are the main characteristics of Coltrane and other products that you have presented?
I’d say the most common adjectives used to describe the Coltrane and our other product offerings presented at this year’s G2E were innovation, design, ergonomics, comfort, value, lightweight, performance-based, high quality and Made in America.
How have visitors responded?
Traffic to our booth was exceptional and the interest in our new Coltrane gaming stool was more than we ever expected. Our booth visitors, especially those that were casino operators and managers, were excited that we launched the new Coltrane gaming stool, and were eager to try/test it out on their own. The Coltrane was designed to meld style, durability and ergonomics to increase players’ time on device, and that is exactly what our booth visitors had to say.
We also had a ton of positive feedback on the newly patented Halo Base, which launched at last year’s (2011) G2E but was also displayed at this year’s event. The most common reaction to it was that the stamped steel base adds improved functionality and excitement to the popular disc base design used in many casinos. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better turnout or better feedback on the Gasser product offerings.
In addition, our new Gaming Product Summary Catalog was released and distributed to very positive reactions. For those that were unable to attend this year’s G2E or were unable to visit our booth, our new Gaming Product Summary Catalog can be viewed on our website at GasserChair.com.
What can you tell us about the acquisition of Taylor Chair Company?
We purchased the intellectual portion of Taylor Chair, which allows us the right to use the Taylor brand name, chair designs and customer list. We believe the Taylor name and product line will enhance our position as a manufacturer of fine-quality seating. We are currently evaluating various marketing strategies for the Taylor brand and look forward to further announcements about Taylor Chair in the future.
What does the strategic partnership with All Island Representatives represent for Gasser Chair?
The recent partnership with All Island Representatives gives Gasser Chair Company a prominent presence in one of the United States’ most important tourism markets – Hawaii – enabling hoteliers to have easy access to our comprehensive suite of hospitality seating solutions that have become staples of the service-centric hotel industry. We are fortunate to have Peter Pao, a native Hawaiian and industry vet, on-board as our senior leader/sales rep for the region, and are very optimistic that Peter will bring great business relationships from the islands.
What are your main plans for the short term?
We are moving forward with the creation of a new Hospitality Product Summary Catalog. Furthermore, the Coltrane gaming stool that was launched at this year’s G2E show was our initial offering and we have great expectations to expand that line as well.
