(Armenia).- Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan chaired a consultation meeting with the representatives from Armenia’s gaming halls and casinos, the Government press service informed. The representatives offered proposals for regulating the country’s gaming sector and, also, asked the Government to find solutions to their issues of concern.

“I believe gambling is not suitable for the image of the Armenian man. [Nonetheless,] We need to form a field, which regulates the activities of this sector, where the interests of small and medium business are taken into account and strict rules of control are imposed upon gaming hall activities,” Sargsyan said.

The Prime Minister also noted that he is against monopolies and proposed the gaming hall and casino representatives to design, together with the Finance Ministry, a concept for regulating this sector.
