(US).- Nevada gambling regulators have approved a second company's plan to run an Internet poker site in the state. The Nevada Gaming Commission approved last week American Casino & Entertainment Properties for an interactive gambling operator's license.

South Point Poker was approved for the first license in August.

The corporation owns the Stratosphere hotel-casino and tower on the Las Vegas Strip, and two off-Strip Arizona Charlie's casinos in Las Vegas and the Aquarius Casino Resort in the Colorado River resort town of Laughlin.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports gambling officials were told ACEP plans to launch a free-play poker website that doesn't handle real money by the end of 2012, and a poker site accepting real-money bets in 2013.
