What are your expectations for the upcoming G2E?
G2E is the one of the major gaming trade shows of the year and is a great opportunity to catch up with our customers, see their latest machines and discuss ideas for the future. It is also a great chance to network with prospects and create new business opportunities. We are keen to showcase Quixant’s full range of products at G2E and demonstrate our passion to continuously evolve our product line to provide our customers with powerful, cost effective, feature rich gaming platforms, which enable their games and machines to stand out in the marketplace.
G2E is also invaluable to observe organic trends in the industry in the gaming market in order to ensure Quixant remains a premier designer and manufacturer of gaming controllers.
What are the main features of the QX-40 platform and other products that you will launch at G2E?
The powerful QX-40 gaming platform offers an unrivalled level of performance, reliability, cost effectiveness, efficiency and a rich gaming feature-set. The platform is based on the latest AMD R-Series APU and can optionally be configured with an additional discrete GPU to augment the integrated graphics. Uniquely, the QX-40 offers the ability to drive up to ten independent high definition screens and, by means of the innovative DisplayPort 1.2 interface, it allows for daisy-chaining of monitors to a single DisplayPort interface which can reduce wiring complexity in machine cabinets.
Quixant will be launching the QXi-4000 at G2E. The QXi-4000 harnesses the power of the AMD Embedded R-Series APU with an integrated AMD Radeon HD7000G graphics processor and is capable of driving up to four independent HD screens, again with support for DisplayPort. This exceptional level of features and performance is achieved by the QXi-4000 whilst remaining a fan-less solution.
The QXi-4000 is available in Dual and Quad Core processor variants up to 2.1 GHz (2.8GHz with boost) and also supports up to 16GB of DDR3 memory. The QXi-4000 has been designed for fan-less operation through the use of Quixant’s innovative cooling system, improving reliability and reducing power consumption and noise.
The QXi-4000 and QX-40 also integrate Quixant’s PCI Express based gaming I/O and non-volatile SRAM/MRAM, including comprehensive software support for Windows Embedded and Linux which Quixant is synonymous with.
Recently, you announced the addition of new Quixant team members. Who will be in Las Vegas? How will these appointments benefit the relationship the company has with its customers?
Many of the members of Quixant’s senior management team will be attending the G2E show, including the recently appointed General Manager, Jon Jayal.
Quixant’s global business has grown very rapidly over past few years and the recent appointments reflect the company’s belief in supporting this growth with investment in talented people. We believe this is the only way in which we can ensure the company remains well managed with strong corporate governance, our products remain innovative and market leading and we continue to support our customers with unrivalled customer service and direct access to the engineering team responsible for designing the products.
What is the position of Quixant’s products in America? How are they surrendering their products in this market?
The US market is very important to us, which is why last year, we established our own US subsidiary (Quixant USA Inc) which is located in Las Vegas. So far, since the opening of new local premises in Las Vegas in July 2011, numerous new opportunities have arisen which we have been well placed to take advantage.
G2E is one of the key shows each year for us and we are looking forward to attending this year with an even stronger product set and our US team on hand. The show will of course be an excellent opportunity to see many of the key industry figures under one roof and discuss our products and future plans with them.
How has the business been this year? What is the balance so far?
The business has been incredibly positive this year. We have been working closely with our existing customers to define their roadmap of products going forward and ensure Quixant has a solution to meet these needs. We have seen healthy increase in demand from existing customers for our boards.
In addition, we are seeing massive interest from new customers about our QX-40 and QXi-4000 products and this has resulted in plenty of encouraging conversations and very strong sales growth over 2012 to date.
In what other shows will you be present in the coming months?
Quixant will also be exhibiting at ENADA Rome - booth 005 - in Italy (October, 17-19) and at the BEGE Expo - booth B-08 - in Bulgaria (October, 16-18). We will then, of course, be exhibiting at ICE in early February 2013 in London at ExCel.
What are Quixant’s short term goals?
For the remainder of 2012, we will continue to promote our range of all-in-one gaming platforms, including the new QX-40 and QXi-4000. We will continue to exhibit at the main gaming trade shows around the world showing our long term commitment to the industry.
We will also be focusing on reinforcing support areas of the business and the infrastructure to ensure we remain a robust firm which scales to the immensely strong growth prospects we see from sales side. First and foremost, we are committed to maintaining Quixant as good firm to work for and to work with, and presenting ourselves as an innovative, aspirational, well-run company which customers and employees alike love to be associated with.
