Gasser Chair appoints new England / East Coast sales representative

Blake brings more than 35 years of experience in hospitality sales to the Gasser team, having previously worked as representatives for companies including Illinois-based U.S. Foods, one of the country’s most innovative food companies and leading distributors; Sysco Boston, the largest food service distributor in New England; and New York-based Osterby& Williamson, one of the finest manufacturers in the food service industry.

As the New England representative for Osterby & Williamson, he had the responsibility of growing some of the world’s top catering manufacturing brands, including the 225-year-old Germany-based Villeroy& Boch, the world’s largest producer of ceramics; Italy-based flatware brand Sambonet; Canadian cookware manufacturer Paderno; Italian luxury linen producer Frette; and the 223-year-old France-based REVOL, one of the largest cook-and-serve porcelain manufacturers in the world.

In addition, in 2010, Blake founded his own company, Hugh Blake Consulting, in which he pursues sales opportunities for manufacturers in the hospitality supply industry. He and his wife of 39 years, Dr. Kimberly Blake, reside in New London, Connecticut.
