Due to the increment of visits in July

Chile: Gross gaming incomes registered an increment of more than 9%

(Chile).- Chile Casino Superintendence (SCJ) informed that during July, the 17 casinos in operation generated gross gaming incomes (win) in us$ 51.6 million and received 656,541 visits, which on average spent us$ 80.

(Chile).- Chile Casino Superintendence (SCJ) informed that during July, the 17 casinos in operation generated gross gaming incomes (win) in us$ 51.6 million and received 656,541 visits, which on average spent us$ 80.

Besides, the 17 local governments and 11 regional governments have to receive a total of us$ 8.6 million for specific gaming tax and the state has to receive us$ 3.7 million of income tax. Operating societies also spent us$ 8.2 million per VAT gaming concept.

Compared to the previous month, gross gaming incomes grew a 9.3%, because in June, win was us$ 47.3 million and in July us$ 51.6 million, mainly due to the increment in the number of visits of 13.3% approximately, from 579,691 to 656,541 visits. Furthermore, the average expense per visit decreased in 6.1%, of us$ 85 to us$ 80. 

Of the total of us$ 51.6 million of gross gaming income or win, Monticello Grand Casino represented the 26.7% (us$ 13.8 million), Casino Rinconada 13.6% (us$ 7 million), Marina del Sol 12.1% (us$ 6.3 million), Enjoy Antofagasta 9.6 % (us$ 4.9 million), Dreams Temuco 6.9% (us$ 3.6 million), Dreams Punta Arenas 5.1% (us$ 2.7 million) and Casino Sol Calama 4.6% (us$ 2.4 million), among others.

Complying with the norm established by SCJ for games of chance, of bringing jackpots of no less than 85% of the bets in the total of the combinations of possible games, the 9,211 slots in operation during July brought an average of 93.5% in profit in prizes to players. While the total amount bet increased to us$ 656.9 million, the win in slots for the 17 casinos fue de us$ 42.8 million, which means that the jackpots won by players reached the us$ 614.1 million.

With the results of July, the casino industry has generated in 2012 a total of us$ 329.9 million in gross gaming incomes, us$ 54.7 million in specific gaming tax, us$ 52.7 million in VAT concept and us$ 22.7 million in income tax. Besides, casinos have received this year a total of 4,041,020 visits, which have spent an average of us$ 83.
