"Anton will be responsible for strategic planning for Casino Marketing including marketing development, both nationally and internationally," Hornbuckle said. "The creation of the new position is rooted in the MGM Resorts strategic plan's focus on growth," Hornbuckle added.
Nikodemus will provide leadership in the strategic planning process for casino marketing, special events, customer development teams and programs, governance, and credit/collection decisions. He will lead strategic planning efforts for future marketing development. He will also coordinate efforts between senior management and be responsible for developing, implementing and managing all aspects of National Casino Marketing, National Branch Offices, International Marketing and International Branch Offices.
Nikodemus joined MGM Resorts International in 2005 as Senior Vice President of Hotel Operations for MGM Grand Las Vegas. Most recently, Nikodemus was President and Chief Operating Officer for Monte Carlo Resort and Casino where he repositioned the property's performance by developing and deploying highly successful strategies in the domestic and international markets.
Prior to joining MGM Resorts, Nikodemus served as Resort Manager for Boca Raton Resort and Club in Boca Raton, Florida where he oversaw numerous multimillion dollar renovations and a strong Five-Diamond service culture. He also served as President for the Palm Beach County Convention and Visitors Bureau. He is a graduate of Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and Marketing.
