(US).- Boomtown Casino New Orleans, located in the West Bank neighborhood across the Mississippi River from New Orleans, will reopen today, August 31, pending final regulatory approval. To ensure the safety of team members and guests, the casino management temporarily closed the casino on August 28 due to Hurricane Isaac.

"We look forward to welcoming our guests and team members back to Boomtown Casino," said Boomtown Vice President and General Manager Barry Regula. He adds, "We are appreciative of the hard work and dedication of our team members who helped us reopen quickly and safely and invite our neighbors to join us for a hot meal and some fun entertainment."

As a gesture of appreciation for their service to the community, Boomtown will extend the previously scheduled Labor Day On-Duty Free Lunch Buffet Day to include emergency workers and municipal personnel Monday, September 3 in Bayou Market Buffet. Regula adds, "We'd like to welcome all active military, veterans, EMS, police and firefighters and all of the municipal and emergency crews involved in storm recovery to come in and enjoy a free lunch buffet on us Monday as a measure of gratitude for the work they do every day protecting the city we share."
